Required QuickBooks Online Settings
Certain preferences must be turned ON in QuickBooks Online in order for the Plugin to update the inventory data and order data in QuickBooks. These include:
- Tracking inventory quantity on hand
- Using purchase orders
To verify these settings are enabled, refer to the steps below.
- In the top right area of the screen, select the Gear icon > Settings > Company Settings to reach the Settings page in QuickBooks Online.
- Inventory tracking: Select the Sales option to the left to reach the Sales settings. Select the Edit icon for the Products and Services category. To track inventory quantity on hand, mark the Track inventory quantity on hand checkbox.
- Purchase Order syncing: Select the Expenses option to reach the Expenses settings. Select the Edit icon for the Purchase Orders category. Mark the Use purchase orders checkbox so that your system uses purchase orders.
